Applies to: ViewSonic Manager; Entity accounts
ViewSonic Manager is a web-based IT management console that lets Entity Admins and Entity Owners remotely manage ViewSonic devices — such as ViewBoards, ViewSonic CDEs, and ViewBoard Boxes — from a single dashboard. Manager is only available to organizations with a ViewSonic Entity account. It comes in two tiers: Manager Basic, which is included with an Entity account, and Manager Advanced, a licensed add-on that unlocks additional device management commands.
Before you begin
Your organization needs a ViewSonic Entity account to use Manager. Individual users also need to be granted access by an Entity Owner or Entity Admin before they can open the Manager console.
What Manager does
From the Manager console, admins can generally do the following:
Enroll and organize registered devices, including grouping devices for easier management.
View device information and status for enrolled devices.
Send remote commands to devices, such as power, volume, input source, and firmware updates.
Broadcast standard and urgent messages to devices.
Grant or remove other users' access to Manager.
Additional notes
Some additional points that may be useful:
Manager Basic covers core device management. Manager Advanced is a separate, licensed add-on that unlocks more automated and advanced commands (for example, Remote Desktop and advanced broadcast content types). See "What is the difference between Manager Basic and Manager Advanced?" for details.
Which specific commands are available for a given device can also depend on that device's own capability — check the Manager device capability chart if a feature does not appear for a specific model.
