Applies to: ViewSonic Manager; Entity Owner/Admin; Manager admin

ViewSonic Manager is only available to users who belong to a ViewSonic Entity account and have been explicitly granted access to Manager. Having an Entity account by itself does not automatically give every user in the organization access to Manager — access must be granted on a per-user basis by someone who already has Manager access, such as the Entity Owner or an existing Manager admin.

Before you begin

Your organization must have an active ViewSonic Entity account. You must also be added to that Entity's user list in the ViewSonic Entity portal before you can be granted Manager access.

How Manager access works

Manager maintains its own access list, separate from myViewBoard and the ViewSonic Entity portal. Keep the following in mind:

  • For a newly created entity, only the Entity Owner has Manager access by default.

  • The Entity Owner (or another existing Manager user) must grant access to additional users from within Manager before those users can sign in to the console.

  • Access to Manager can only be granted to users who already belong to the entity. External accounts cannot be added.

  • Any user who has been granted Manager access can, in turn, grant or remove access for other entity users.

Additional notes

Some additional points that may be useful:

  • Being an admin in myViewBoard or the ViewSonic Entity portal does not automatically make someone a Manager admin. Manager roles and permissions are managed independently within Manager itself.

  • For detailed permission control per user, an entity needs a Manager Advanced license; otherwise, granted users share the same general level of access described above.

Need more help

If you believe your organization has an Entity account but no one currently has Manager access, contact ViewSonic Support with your organization name and domain so the team can help confirm the account status.
