Applies to: ViewSonic Manager; Entity accounts

Yes. ViewSonic Manager is only available to organizations with a ViewSonic Entity account — it is not accessible to individual, non-entity myViewBoard accounts. Having an Entity account does not by itself give every member access; an Entity Owner or Manager admin still needs to grant Manager access to individual users.

Before you begin

If your organization does not yet have a ViewSonic Entity account, you will need to request one before Manager can be used. See "How do I request a ViewSonic Manager or Entity account?" for the request process.

What this means in practice

Keep the following in mind when planning access to Manager:

  • The Entity account is the foundation — without one, there is no Manager console to sign in to.

  • Once the entity exists, individual users still need to be added to the entity's user list and then granted Manager access separately.

  • Manager access and roles are managed within Manager itself, independent of myViewBoard or ViewSonic Entity portal roles.

Additional notes

Some additional points that may be useful:

  • An Entity account also unlocks other organization-wide tools, such as the ViewSonic Entity Management console, in addition to Manager.

  • Manager Advanced is a separate license on top of the Entity account and Manager access — it is not required simply to use Manager.
