Applies to: ViewSonic Manager Devices page; v3.77 filters

The Devices page in ViewSonic Manager lets you search for devices by name, model, serial number, or asset tag, filter the list by group, and customize which columns appear on the table. Recent Manager releases have continued to expand column and filter options, including Model and Status-related columns, so check your console's current Column Settings to see what is available to you.

Search and filter the Device list

Use these tools from the Devices page toolbar to narrow down a large device list:

  • Search — enter keywords to search through device names, models, serial numbers, and asset tags.

  • Groups filter — select a single group from the Groups dropdown to show only devices that are members of that group.

  • Advanced license filter — apply the toolbar option to show only devices assigned an Advanced license.

  • Customize columns — hide, show, or reorder the columns shown on the Device list table to focus on the information you need.

Check a device's status

Click the row of a device (without checking its box) to open the Device Info side panel and review its current details, or use Refresh on the toolbar to make sure the list reflects recently added or removed devices.

Additional notes

Some additional points that may be useful:

  • Newer Manager releases have added custom column options (such as additional device and usage fields) to the Devices page — check Column Settings in your console for what is currently available, since options can vary by release.

  • Filtering and column settings only affect what is displayed; they do not change which devices are enrolled or their status.

  • If a recently released feature or column referenced in Manager release notes is not yet visible in your console, it may not have rolled out to your account version yet.

Need more help

If expected devices are missing from a filtered view or a column you expect to see is not available, contact ViewSonic Support with your Manager console version and a description of the filter or column you are looking for.
