Applies to: ViewSonic Manager Devices page
Clicking a device's row on the Devices page opens the Device Info panel, which shows technical specifications such as model, serial number, firmware version, and online status, along with the device's location, system usage, and installed apps. You can also export the full Device list, including this information, as an XLSX file.
What the Device Info panel shows
Click the row of a device (leave its checkbox unselected) to open the side panel, then use the icons at the top to switch between tabs:
Device info — technical specifications for the device, including model, serial number, firmware, and online status. From here you can also edit certain fields, add or remove the device from a group, and view the device's location on a map.
System & apps — current system usage information, with limited app management. Only user-installed apps can be removed from the device.
Certificates — certificate information. Only available if the device was assigned an Advanced license and supports the certificate feature.
Export the full device list
To get device information for all enrolled devices at once:
Go to the Devices page and select the All Devices tab.
Use the Download device list option on the toolbar.
Open the downloaded XLSX file to review the full list of devices and their details.
Additional notes
Some additional points that may be useful:
The Certificates tab only appears for devices with an Advanced license that also support certificates — it is not shown for every device.
App management from the System & apps tab is limited; only apps a user installed can be removed this way.
The exact fields included in the exported XLSX file have expanded across Manager releases, so newer exports may include more columns than older ones.
Need more help
If device information looks incorrect or missing (such as firmware or serial number not updating), verify the device is online and has recently checked in, then contact ViewSonic Support with the device model and what information is missing.
