Applies to: Manager device capability chart
Use the Manager device capability chart to check which Manager and Manager Advanced features a specific device model supports. Select your model in the chart to see, feature by feature, whether it is supported, remotely manageable, or not supported at all. Keep in mind that device capability and your Manager license tier are two separate things.
Find your device model
Before checking the chart, confirm your device's exact model using one of these methods:
In the Manager web console, review the Model column on the Devices page, or open a device's row to see the Device Model on the info panel.
On the device itself, check Settings > System > About device (the exact path can vary by device).
Inspect the device for a physical tag, usually on the right side of the unit, listing the model.
Check feature support in the capability chart
Open the Manager device capability chart.
Select your device model.
Review the chart for each feature or command — it indicates whether the feature is supported, whether Manager can remotely manage it, or whether the device does not support it and will ignore the related command.
Device capability vs. license tier
A device capability chart entry only tells you whether a device is technically able to support a feature. Some commands are also gated by license: they only become available in Manager if the device both supports the feature and has been assigned a Manager Advanced license. If a command is grayed out or does not appear for a device, check both the capability chart and whether the device has an Advanced license assigned.
Additional notes
Some additional points that may be useful:
If a device does not respond to a command, verify it has the correct firmware version, confirm whether the command requires an Advanced license, and check that the device is online.
The capability chart reflects a matrix snapshot. If your device is a very recently released model, it may not yet be listed — contact Support to confirm current support status.
Some features are marked experimental and may currently only trigger when the Entity Owner account is signed in, with further enhancements planned for future Manager versions.
Need more help
If your device model is not listed in the capability chart, or a feature behaves differently than the chart indicates, contact ViewSonic Support with the device model, firmware version, and the specific feature or command in question.
