Issue

The Total Uptime column on the Devices page does not appear to reset after a display is power-cycled.

What to check first

Work through these steps in order:

  1. Note the exact Total Uptime value shown before you power-cycle the device.

  2. Record the exact time of the power cycle.

  3. After the device reconnects, check the Total Uptime value again and note whether it changed, reset to zero, or stayed the same.

  4. Check whether other status fields on the same device, such as Online/Offline status and Last Seen, updated correctly after the power cycle.

Additional notes

Some additional points that may be useful:

  • This is a general observation checklist. What Total Uptime measures and what is expected to reset it have not yet been confirmed for this workbook, so this article does not state a root cause.
