Both myViewBoard 2.0 and 3.0 support Companion QR sign-in, as long as the device running myViewBoard has a stable internet connection. You sign in by scanning a unique QR code shown on the myViewBoard screen using the Companion app's camera.

QR sign-in steps

  1. Sign in to the Companion app as Host/IT Admin using a ViewSonic account, then locate the QR code scanner icon.

  2. On the myViewBoard app, tap Sign In on the avatar menu to display the QR code (each myViewBoard instance has a unique one).

  3. On the Companion app, tap the QR code icon to open the device camera, grant camera permissions if prompted, and align the code in the scanning area.

  4. A successful scan automatically signs you in and loads your settings.

QR code is unique to each device

This method requires the myViewBoard device to be connected to a stable internet connection. The QR code shown is unique to that specific myViewBoard instance and can't be reused on a different device.
