Applies to: myViewBoard 3.0
myViewBoard can import three broad categories of files: whiteboard/lesson formats, Office documents and presentations, and image/multimedia files. The table below is the current reference list for what you can bring into a lesson.
| Category | Supported formats | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Whiteboard | myViewBoard (.VBOARD, .OLF), Promethean (.FLP Flipchart), SMART (.NOTEBOOK), Evernote (.ENB), other brands (.IWB) | Non-native files must be re-saved as .OLF to retain edits; older Promethean .FLP files import more reliably than newer ones. A File Conversion to OLF service is available if needed. |
| Office: Documents | Google Doc, PDF, DOCX, TXT, ONE, URL | DOCX and ONE require a local Microsoft Office installation. |
| Office: Presentations | Google Slides, PPTX | PowerPoint mobile files are excluded; PPTX requires a local Microsoft Office installation. |
| Images | PNG, JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, ICO, TIF, TIFF, SVG | |
| Audio | MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV, M4A | |
| Video | WMV, MP4, MPG, XESC, 3PG, MOV, MPEG, MKV, ASF, AVI, M4V |
Non-native file handling and Office requirements
Files from other whiteboard brands only keep their edits once re-saved as .OLF. Any format needing Microsoft Office (DOCX, PPTX, ONE) will fail to import if Office is not installed locally on the device.
