Applies to: myViewBoard 3.0

Yes. myViewBoard 3.0 fully supports .OLF lesson files created in 2.0. You don't need to convert or recreate anything, just open the file as you normally would.

If both myViewBoard for Windows 2.0 and 3.0 are installed on the same machine, clicking a .olf file brings up a system prompt asking which version should open it. Either version can handle the file, but choosing myViewBoard 3.0 gives you:

  • The latest features

  • Performance improvements

  • An updated UI

You can check "Always use this app" in that prompt to make myViewBoard 3.0 your default going forward.

Known compatibility exceptions

Very old or unusual OLF file variants can occasionally run into compatibility issues. If you hit a specific compatibility problem, contact ViewSonic support and they'll check it against the current list of known cases.
