ClassLink integration with ClassSwift allows seamless synchronization of user data, making it easier to manage teacher list, access resources, and streamline login processes. By connecting ClassLink, schools can ensure that class rosters remain accurate and up to date.  

 
Step 1. Grant Full Access Permission for Your School & District 

  1. Log in to ClassLink LaunchPad. 

  2. Go to Roster Server > Apps > All Applications. 

  3. Search for ‘ClassSwift’ and add it with ‘Full Permissions’. 

Step 2. Assign ClassSwift to Users’ LaunchPad 

  1. Go to ‘Management Console’. 

  2. Click ‘Add & Assign Apps’ from the menu, then search for ‘ClassSwift’. 

  3. Assign the app to Tenant Administrator, Teachers, and Students by clicking ‘Add’.  

  4. The ClassSwift Hub icon will appear on all users’ LaunchPad Homepage. 

Step 3. Log In to ClassSwift Hub 

  1. Click the ClassSwift icon from your LaunchPad to open the ClassSwift Hub. 

  2. Use ClassLink SSO to sign in to the ClassSwift Hub.  

Step 4. Authorize ClassLink API 

  1. In ClassSwift Hub, go to Settings and click ‘Connect’ under the ClassLink section.  

  2. Under Step 2. Identify and Authorize ClassLink API, click ‘Sign-in with ClassLink’. 

  3. Enter your ClassLink credentials. 

  4. The Tenant ID will be filled in automatically.  

Step 5. Review the ClassLink Roster Data 

  1. Click ‘Sync all’ to proceed to the Manage Roster Data page.  

  2. Roster data retrieved from ClassLink will be displayed here. 

  • When hovering over the warning symbol, it shows the number of classes that exceed the 50-student limit. These classes cannot be synced. 

Step 6. Sync the Roster Data to ClassSwift – Option 1 

  1. Click ‘Sync All’ to sync all data at once. 

  2. After clicking ‘Confirm’, the sync status will display IMPORTING. 

  3. Click ‘Refresh’ to update the status. Once syncing is complete, the status will change to IMPORTED* 
    *Note: If the status shows FAILED, click ‘Details’ to view the error message.  

Step 6. Sync the Roster Data to ClassSwift – Option 2 

  1. Choose the data you want to sync to ClassSwift and click ‘Sync’. 

  2. After clicking ‘Confirm’, the sync status will display IMPORTING. 

  3. Click ‘Refresh’ to update the status. Once syncing is complete, the status will change to IMPORTED* 
    *Note: If the status shows FAILED, click ‘Details’ to view the error message.
